DANYLIW RESEARCH SEMINAR ON CONTEMPORARY UKRAINE

The 2022 invasion has displaced millions of people, within or outside Ukraine. A major challenge, both conceptually and technically, has been how to count the displaced –those who lost property but stayed, those with family members both in Ukraine and abroad, and those who left and returned. Reconstructions needs – on education, healthcare, property and voting rights – will depend on valid measurement.
