Its Formation and Transnational Connections, 1929–1934

This book examines the activities of the Organisation of Ukrainian Nationalists (OUN) in exile during the first five years of its existence, from its founding in 1929 to the assassination of the Polish Minister of the Interior Bronisław Pieracki in 1934, a turning point. Drawing on newly discovered archival materials, the Senyk Archive – a collection of more than 700 letters exchanged among the organization’s leading activists – the study offers a comprehensive analysis and new interpretation of the OUN’s internal functioning, transnational networks, and its activity on the territory of the Second Polish Republic.
